The Punjab government has approved the PC-1 of the expressway project for Mian Gulberg to Motorway-II. Under a meeting of the Lahore Development Authority, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar approved the project in principle. The CM emphasized the financial feasibility of the project and its timely completion.
A master plan for Lahore 2050 has been taken up by LDA, which suggests several infrastructural development plans to meet the emerging needs of the city. The CM suggested that a feasibility study be produced for every plan given under the master plan. The meeting also deliberated on the contracts between the Bank of Punjab and LDA for the construction of Naya Pakistan apartments.
The master plan for Lahore is a blueprint of the city’s infrastructure development and growth for the next 25 years. The social, economic, legal, and environmental feasibility of the master plan and its underpinnings are vital for successful implementation. Currently, the layout of the master plan has been given conditional permission. In addition, building regulations and other issues were granted with the approval of LDA joint venture regulations.
