To provide Chinese investors with a space to invest in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the BOI has proposed the establishment of the CPEC Business and Industrial Tower in Islamabad.

Several Chinese state-owned companies have approached the BOI to explore the industrial tower and aim to execute it with assistance from the BOI in the form of a public-private partnership model. Under the 1st Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting of CPEC on Industrial Cooperation (IC) held in 2016, Pakistan proposed the construction of an eight-story CPEC tower in the federal capital, provincial capitals, and Gwadar. However, the proposal could not materialize at that time.

Considering its significance for business in general and investment in particular, the BOI has again circulated the proposal for a CPEC Business and Industrial Cooperation Tower. The BOI is advocating for its inclusion in the list of projects that will get approval from respective governments during the upcoming visit of the Chinese president. The establishment of such a tower will act as a catalyst for generating economic opportunities and growth.
