Employment Opportunities Under the Naya Pakistan Housing Program

Recently, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that as many as 250,000 employment opportunities have been created in the country ever since the construction of houses took off under the Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP). The NPHP is an ambitious plan of the incumbent government to build 5 million houses for the lower-income demographic.

According to its advocates, the NPHP is a strategic social protection system that will provide affordable housing options for the poor and create employment opportunities in the region. The program will also jumpstart the national housing sector and help the country meet its housing shortfall of 10 million houses.
