Government Inaugurates Housing Schemes in DI Khan

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has inaugurated a multi-million rupees improvement plan in the housing scheme under Dera Development Authority (DDA). The project includes constructing and installing an underground sewerage system, roads, green belts, parks, and streetlights. The total cost of the project is Rs100 million. The project aims to improve people’s living standards by providing them with basic amenities of life. According to the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, the incumbent government has also fulfilled the promise of providing Roti, Kapra, and Makaan to the deserving ones.

The incumbent government has introduced several projects to provide affordable houses to the needy, including the Mera Ghar Mera Pakistan scheme. The government has also established Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) to provide housing facilities to the deserving population and to accelerate economic activity in Pakistan. The authority aims to deliver 5 million houses to the underserved and middle-income communities to create an economic balance. The step has contributed to reviving industrial growth and creating employment opportunities in the country. Despite the prolonged difficult times of Covid-19, the government has started several construction and development projects to provide employment and housing facilities for the public to live contended under their roof.
