All over the world, the concept of technological cities is becoming significant as the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) increasingly becomes important in every field of life. ICT is being used by state institutions in monitoring most aspects of public life for better public service and governance.
Such cities are becoming more efficient and effective in every area, from public transportation to healthcare systems. These are called smart cities and most metropolitan cities around the world are trying to integrate smart features to gain maximum efficiency.
Pakistan needs to integrate relevant ICT and other technological features to monitor its most sensitive issues which include air pollution, traffic congestion, and internet availability to name a few.
