In the last 30 years, the economy of the United Kingdom has grown by 78%, while cutting its carbon emissions by 44%. It has been one of the UK’s remarkable achievements as it became the fastest decarbonizing country amongst the G7 group. Last year, the UK government published its climate change strategy which aims for an economy with net-zero carbon emissions. It outlines a plan which will assist the economy towards a greener and more sustainable future. The success of the country’s climate change strategy led the UK to host the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow this year.
