The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is in the process of launching a new portal to upload 3.5 million National Database and Registration Authority profiles of non-filers. The identification and uploading of the profiles will be made through three different methods using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The profiles of the non-filers will be received from NADRA for uploading on the portal.

According to Finance minister Shaukat Tarin, the tax data will be shared with non-filers and ask them to rectify any mistakes. They will be allowed to consult the panel of auditors for further correction if needed. If the non-filers did not pay taxes, the law would take its course.

The portal will be launched for the public and have all the data of non-filers and those liable to tax, including their bank accounts information, utility bills, travel, and other data. The portal will also share the estimated tax liability, financial transactions, and expenditures of the tax evaders. The portal will help recover tax dues worth billions of rupees from un-registered persons. The government is working with FBR to implement innovative models to broaden the tax net, identify tax evaders, and aid in accountability for tax evasion.
