Pakistan’s tourism sector is showing record growth. Currently, Pakistan gains Rs 793 billion from its tourism economy and millions of employment opportunities. If the existing tourism infrastructure is upgraded, the government estimates to derive RS 1 trillion in the future. The country’s northern areas are a national asset, and government investment can enhance the beauty and serenity of these regions. Pakistan needs to implement a comprehensive plan to tap the potential of its tourism sector. It will be possible by bringing the real estate and tourism sector together to provide the best tourism infrastructure to the increasing number of domestic and foreign tourists.

The local government in Galiyat has directed to complete work on the Havelian-Damthore Bypass project. The project will solve traffic problems in the region and further boost tourism in Galiyat. The road will start from Havelian connecting Galiyat with the rest of the country. The project’s construction has been awarded to Frontier Works Organisation (FWO). Also, a Police Station will be established on Damthore Bypass to provide safety and security to the locals and tourists. The total project cost is about Rs1.47 billion.

The relevant departments, including FWO, Nespak and communication and works, have been asked to complete construction work of the bypass project before the tourism season starts. Furthermore, revenue officials have been directed to complete the installation of large size signboards at Motorway Interchange, GT Road and Havelian-Dhamthore bypass road.
